Fawn Mckay

Fawn Brodie McKay was born 15 September 1915 was raised in Ogden Utah. Fawn MacKay, who was a Mormon member of the Church the Latter Day Saints' founding family was able to combine her ability to write and her remarkable research skills in order to produce the brilliant, psychohistorical biography of the author, No Man is a Master of My History, which was released in 1945. The title comes from the funeral sermon of Joseph Smith who was the founder of The Church of Latter-Day Saints. His audience was shocked by his proclaiming: "You don't even know my name. I haven't even met my feelings." No one knows about my past. There is no way for me to tell you. Fawn has written the 29-year-old Fawn. From that point more than three writers took on the task. It is up to us to separate the original account from the third hand plagiarism as well as to match Mormons' claims with the non-Mormons' in an authentic historical mosaic. It is both exciting and educational. That's the mission to which Fawn Brodie devoted herself professionally. Thaddeus Stewards, the result of her research and writing was what made her a famous author. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge of the South Thomas Jefferson. The intimate Histories (1974), and Richard Nixon.
