Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. It is said that she's half English and the other half Spanish. Parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father, an Argentinean of Scottish and English heritage is her mother. Her mother comes from Spanish and English roots. There are five siblings, four from her father's previous marriage. Family resided throughout Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and after which they moved to the Victoria district of London. Taylor-Joy said the move in London was stressful as she wasn't able to master English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the transferred from Northlands. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she took ballet classes and appeared in school productions. At 16, she left the school to take on acting as a profession. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to pursue a career as an actress. her dreams came true when she received modeling work by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
