Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu was born in the US. Liu is an American singer, actress as well as a voice actress. In addition to being a beautiful and intelligent actress, she serves as a role model for many Asian actors working in Hollywood who want to succeed. Following a string of early performances in popular shows she gained fame after joining the team of the legal comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. Her sudden fame translated into film roles such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. She then delivered a superlative performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii as Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. Around this same time, she also starred in box-office flops like Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she became voice actor in animated films, including Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's character as a character in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't produce results. The role she played in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland allowed her to regain her status as an established actress. Liu is extremely cautious when choosing her roles so that she is not typecast within a highly competitive industry. She is also a talented artist, who is not restricted by her ethnicity.
