Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton escaped the struggles of her life early on through her imaginative and creative imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she could write and read. At the age of 8years old, she purchased the first electric guitar she owned and began singing on a Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. That that same time, Gold Band Records was a small independent record label. In high school she was able to establish herself within the school community but her goals were bigger. When she was graduating in 1964 she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) and Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for female performers for his show that was syndicated from the beginning. Parton was a part of the Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed with RCA Records. She left Wagoner's show, but in 1974, because her solo albums like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene outsold their collaborations. Parton composed I Will Always love You in honor of Wagoner after their breakup. It made it to No. 1. for the first time in 1974.
